Ending 2024

I hope everyone's holidays were relaxing, safe and enjoyable!
December 28 was the last market of the year and what an ending it was!
To recap the last two months: I had to ditch my Saturday market. Honestly, many vendors felt the same about this venue, Just wasn't a good fit! Especially when compared to my Sunday market, Skyline East Mesa, which is AMAZING. I just started Brorhuco full time Nov 2024 after my prior employer of 15 years decided to lay off hundreds of other employees, so that they can save money by sending the work to India.
A blessing in disguise really!
I've met amazing people so far. For starters, James Bender who owns Sippy Crumbs Coffee and organizes the Skyline venue. He really cares about the vendors/small business owners and it shows!
Next, a new client Doug and his wife Lisa. Amazing folks! About 3 or 4 weeks ago, they stopped by my booth for the first time. Doug asked "Do you make belts? I need a black leather belt". My first thought was "boring" and I responded "You can buy belts everywhere." "Not good ones" he replied. Long story short, they've visited my booth every weekend, he bought the very FIRST Brorhuco belt ever made, and now I'm receiving more belt orders than I ever imagined. Go figure, there's a shortage of quality full grain leather belts! I'm filling that void!
Other vendors have also been supportive. What a great community we're building!
My brother, wife, 4 nephews and two of their poodles showed up for the first time this weekend. It was fun having them check out the market. It seemed like they had a good time. Their visit meant a lot to me. My second youngest nephew had an epiphany while looking at my business cards and concluded that the name Brorhuco comprised of the first 2 letters of each of his and his brothers' names. I told them that a couple of years ago, but I guess the company was more of a concept rather than reality back then and just didn't sink into his little brain. :)
Looking forward to a great 2025!
Happy New Year everyone! Have fun, be safe!

Sincerely,
James
